Meet the Loggly Team
Kord Campbell
Founder and CEO

Kord is Loggly's CEO and chief mischief marketer. Kord hails from Oklahoma, where it's mostly hot or cold, and nothing in-between. Kord is credited for inventing the term "cloud" and was recently featured in the NYT discussing his addiction to Internet memes. While he's not bitching about revenue models, load balancers, or slow growing beards, he can be found spinning a wrench at his home in Moraga, CA where he lives with his wife Brenda and their two rather tall children.
Jonathan Gifford
Founder and CTO

Jon Gifford is Loggly's CTO and chief arch-architect. Jon hails from either Australia or New Zealand depending on who's playing whom in rugby or cricket. A lifelong beard grower, Jon has written the same Lucene code twelve times in a row for various search related companies. While he's not spawning simulated annealing processes to find his reading glasses, or passing through an area without 3G, Jon resides in San Francisco with his partner Christina.
Inga Weizman
Director of Marketing

Inga is Loggly's wielder of webinars and blaster of blogs. Inga moved from Odessa, Ukraine to Cupertino with her family due to her dad's interest in Apple's 'hipster-based edge detection circuits'. A marketing tour de force, Inga directs her army of geeks to tweet various bits of Loggly propaganda to the republic. When she's not quoting buzzwords like "synergistic big data", Inga and her husband Oren can be found cooking in San Francisco with fancy pots they got as wedding presents.
Noah Gift
Director of Engineering

Noah is Loggly’s engineering schedule master. He's a California native that has moved North from So Cal via SLO. Not only can he crank out some Python code he is also a one man band; a master of the trumpet, piano and guitar. His more serious side has dabbled at being both a librarian and an author, so he can always tell you where his books are. He lives in Marin with his wife Leah and son Liam.
Brian Murphy
Senior Search Developer

Brian is Loggly's senior search developer. Brian wandered over the border from Ireland a few years back and ended up being the first employee at Splunk, where he hired other bearded developers and authored crude marketing tag lines. Like most Irishmen, Brian continues hacking on complex server code till the wee hours of the morning running on nothing but large quantities of Crabbie's ginger beer. Brian, and his red beard, resides in Dublin, Ireland with his wife RC.
Leila Tudury
Director of Product Management

Leila is Loggly’s prodigious product manager. Born in the Highlands of Scotland, she spent her formidable years in soCal. A seasoned sysadmin, she now wrangles product into submission for developers. When she’s not hard at work, you can find her playing beach volleyball to stay fit. She can also be found running around with her husband David trying to catch their one year old daughter JJ in Oakland.
Ivan Tam
Senior Developer

Ivan is Loggly's senior UI developer and minister of lulz. Ivan is a native of the Bay Area, and grew up on the classics like "Dancing Baby" and "All Your Base". He is widely believed to be the author of the "Good Times" virus, and oft consults his dog Chico about random animal facts. While he's not shopping for hipster graphic t-shirts with a skeleton theme, he spends his time riding around Emeryville, CA in a Cushman looking for parking with his wife Alana.
David Lanstein
Senior Sales Engineer

David is our Director of Managed Deployments, although he prefers to be knows as the Sausage King of Chicago. If you’re lucky you might catch his routines atop floats at various parades. He is originally from Belchertown, MA, which explains his affinity for bars and drinking. In his leisure time you will surely find him in some hot spot in SOMA or dive bar in North Beach.
Jeremy Yabrow
Senior Developer

Jeremy comes to us from the East Coast, Long Island to be exact where he’s developed a tolerance for cold weather and his accent. While he hasn’t won any awards, in fact he was voted less likely to ever win an award while in junior high, so he’s a bit scarred from that whole experience. He plays in a cover band, sings and is even learning guitar so his kids definitely have a cool dad. When he gets a little time for himself, he enjoys bicycling and photography and spends time with his family in Alameda.
Michael Bakkemo
Principle Data Scientist

Michael’s ancestors hailed from Scandinavia, which explains his blond hair. He is originally from a burb outside Seattle, but you wouldn’t know it since he’s quite a happy guy. He was recruited to give a stamp of approval on the Panama Canal at the tender age of 3, the start of a lifelong habit of rubber-stamping dubious projects. When he’s not coding, he’s playing poker and winning or geeking out reading Haskell research papers. Michael resides in San Francisco.
Jason Pump
Senior Developer

Jason has traveled and lived all over the world, England, France and Texas until settling in California. He is a bit hesitant to admit that he was born in New Jersey. He owns 14 peoples souls and children, who clicked on his license agreement without reading it. He scale things, and make them fast. He claims people have spent 2,853 years reading emails he’s sent. He has 72 million Atari 2600 screenshots and his youtube channel has 300,000 views. He likes scotch, which makes him a perfect fit here. When he’s not here, he’s living in the East Bay with his wife and their cat.
Michael Blume
Developer

Mike Blume, Baratone, is a Python Developer here at Loggly. Even as a wee tike, Mike was fascinated with Silly Putty. A while later he graduated from UC Irvine with a degree in Physics. In 2008, while at NASA JPL, Mike was slated to maybe be considered for nomination to receive the Max Planck Medal in physics. Unfortunately the award was lost because it was so small. Mike resides in Berkeley where he hacks AI bots to daytrade Monster stock on the Nikkei.
Brenda Campbell
Controller

Brenda Campbell is Loggly's controller. Brenda is originally from windy Oklahoma, where she graduated from OCU with a degree in vocal performance and glass shattering. Brenda is Loggly's doer of deeds, whipper of whips and puppeteer of puppeteers, and is greatly loved on the 1st and 15th of each month. When she's not on hold with AT&T, she resides in Moraga, CA with her husband Kord and two rather hungry kids.
Brian Schroeder
Developer

Brian (also known as Brain around here) is from Windsor, CA. He has some mad bar tending skills that he shows off at the office when we’ve all had a hard day. He can play a little jazz and is part of band called The Emergency Jazz Club. He is also quite the athlete, having won a bronze medal at the 2009 Bar Back Olympics put on by Fernet Branca. We are hoping he can take the gold this year. He resides in San Francisco and is currently single, ladies!
Marie Schultz
Graphic Designer

Marie is Loggly's UI designer and beaver stylist. She was born and raised Reno, NV and when asked if she would ever move back she replied, "Oh, no." Marie studied fashion design in Paris and is fluent in French encoded CSS. Marie loves grid systems, pushing pixels, rooting for the Giants, and can occasionally be found riding her bike around the Mission District in San Francisco shouting "Attention! Regardez où vous allez idiots!".
Hoover
Chief Chopper

Hoover is a seasoned logging expert, and has been in the logging industry his entire life. When asked about the cost of wood nowadays, he was heard to mutter "I could give a good dam!". Hoover currently serves as the Loggly mascot and Chief Twitterer. Hoover has great dislike of ponies, and occasionally refers to himself in the third person as "Nice Beaver".
